Goodwill of Colorado operates more than 35 retail stores and donation centers across the state, with heavy coverage in Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Thornton, Arvada, Broomfield, and Colorado Springs. Use the location finder at goodwillcolorado.org or call 303-650-7700 to find the closest drop-off point.
Most locations have a drive-through donation lane staffed by Goodwill attendants. You do not need an appointment for standard drop-offs.
Accepted Donations

Items Goodwill Does Not Accept
- ▸Mattresses or box springs
- ▸Large appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers)
- ▸CRT televisions
- ▸Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- ▸Hazardous materials
- ▸Car seats
- ▸Items with mold, pest damage, or strong odors
- ▸Encyclopedias or outdated textbooks
Maximizing Your Tax Deduction
Goodwill provides a receipt for all donations, which you can use to claim a charitable tax deduction. For non-cash donations above $500, you'll need IRS Form 8283. When You Have More Than Goodwill Can Take
Goodwill doesn't accept large appliances, mattresses, or anything in poor condition.
