Northglenn was built out primarily in the 1960s and 1970s as one of the first planned communities on the north metro. The housing stock is mature and consistent — ranch-style and tri-level homes with attached garages, full basements, and yards that have had decades to accumulate lawn equipment, bikes, and everything else a suburban family holds onto.

Hillcrest and Karl's Farm are two of the city's most established neighborhoods.
